A native from Argentina, this Argentinean-American lyric singer has shown since childhood, great potential as an artist and a singer. She began her career in music by taking guitar lessons at the age of 8 years old. As a teenager, she joined “The Santa Coloma Choir” in Buenos Aires, and toured with this singing Ensemble throughout South America.

In 1990, she arrived in the United States where she continued her education, receiving scholarships from both the New World School of the Arts/ MDCC and later Florida International University. In 1991, she participated in the “Asti Sister’s City Exchange Program“, performing and traveling throughout Italy. Alexandra Marie became the winner of the 1995 Miami NATS competition (National Association of Teachers of Singing). She received her bachelor’s degree in music and Voice Performance from FIU in 1996. While studying in South Florida, Alexandra Marie performed extensively and received recognition not only as a soloist but also as an educator.  She has appeared with Symphony Orchestras such as The Coral Spring Pops, the Hallandale Pops and sang with local Zarzuela (Spanish Operetta) companies, such as “Grateli”, “Hispanic Lyric Theater” and “Classical Concerts” among others. She performed in New York at “The Orenzal Foundation” featuring Latin American composers, such as Ginastera, Guastavino and Villalobos. She has sung roles such as the countess in “The marriage of Figaro” and Poulanc’s “Dialogue of the Carmelites“, a Spanish version of “Amahl and the Night Visitors“. Alexandra Marie sang for the President of Argentina, Carlos Menem, at FIU’s “Doctorate Honoris Causa” ceremony.  She appeared in July 1999, at the Pro Player Stadium to sing the American National Anthem during the Baseball game between the Florida Marlins and the Devil Rays.

Alexandra presented her concert entitled “An evening of Music” at Steinway Gallery Piano of Coral Gables, as well as The Bass Museum of Art”, in the recital “From Spain and Beyond”, both concerts accompanied by renown Cuban Maestro Munar as part the exhibition Picasso, Tapies, Exhibition.  In March 2011, Alexandra presented her Latin Women’s Concert at Women’s Studies Center and the School of Music at FIU. This same year, Alexandra Marie was a featured artist in Juan Montero’s Production of “Libertad Lamarque, “El Musical de su Vida! at the Artime Theater.

Alexandra Marie released her second CD entitled “Esencia De Mujer”, featuring Latin women composers and historical female figures from the Americas, which was recorded in Argentina with the finest musicians from the Pampas. Alexandra was featured in the 2013 CD compilation: “TANGO in Miami”, cultural initiative by the Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Miami. Alexandra Marie received consecutive grants by the Miami Downtown Development Authority to produce concerts for Miami Arts Day 2015-2018, performing among others “Beloved Melodies of the Americas” and “Sunset Terrace Concert” at the Cisneros Foundation.

On her comeback post pandemic and health challenges, Alexandra performed as featured female singer in the 35th Argentine Festival in the USA which took place in Arlington, Virginia in May 2022 with raving reviews. She performed with maestro Britos at the Summer Symphony Series and part of Symphony of the Americas Concert Series in Pembroke Pines.  Alexandra is the recipient the Artist Support Grant 2022-2023-2024 by Broward Cultural Division to produce the show “Nostalgia, My Journey through Music”, which took place on September 10th, at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center together with renown musicians such as Federate Britos, violinist, and Paul Schwartz from Florida Grand Opera and “Tango and Beyond”, September 9th, 2023, at NSU Art Museum Auditorium. In March 2024, as part of Broward Artist Support Grant, Alexandra partnered with the Weston Music Society and Art Council of Greater Weston to present “World’s Unforgettable Love Songs”, at the Sagemont Prep Academy Blackbox Theater, to a sold-out show, accompanied by a trio of renown South Florida Musicians: Antulio Mora, musical director and pianist; Etienne Fuentes on drums and Eduardo Sama, bass. The concert took place at the Sagemont Prep Academy.

Recently, Alexandra has successfully promoted “Tango and Beyond” concert, bringing it in June 2024 to City of Doral Arts and Culture Center, during their cultural nights, which was attended by Doral City Mayor, Christie Fraga and the Argentine Consulate.   Alexandra is receiving international recognition and has been invited to present her Tango Retrospective show at the “Artango World Meeting” in Kefalonia, Greece, in July 2024. The recital will take place at the Ionion Center for Culture and Art, and if sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and education of Greece.


Originaria de Argentina, esta soprano lírica internacional, educadora y compositora argentino-estadounidense llegó a los Estados Unidos en 1990, donde continuó su educación, recibiendo becas de la New World School of the Arts/MEDIC y más tarde de la Florida International University.
Alexandra Marie ha aparecido con orquestas sinfónicas como The Coral Spring Pops, Hallandale Pops y cantó con compañías de zarzuela tanto en Sudamérica como en el sur de Florida y ha actuado en todo Estados Unidos promocionando compositores y música latinoamericanos.

Alexandra Marie lanzó su segundo CD titulado “Essence De Mujer”, con compositoras latinas y figuras femeninas históricas de América, que fue grabado en Argentina con los mejores músicos de la Pampa. Alexandra apareció en el CD recopilatorio 2013: “TANGO en Miami”, iniciativa cultural del Consulado General de la República Argentina en Miami. Alexandra Marie recibió subvenciones consecutivas de la Autoridad de Desarrollo del Centro de Miami para producir conciertos para el Día de las Artes de Miami 2015-2018, interpretando, entre otros, “Beloved Melodies of the Americas” y “Sunset Terrace Concert” en la Fundación Cisneros.

En su regreso después de la pandemia y los problemas de salud, Alexandra actuó como cantante destacada en el 35° Festival Argentino en Estados Unidos que tuvo lugar en Arlington, Virginia, en mayo de 2022, con excelentes críticas. Actuó con el maestro Britos en la Serie Sinfónica de Verano y parte de la Serie de Conciertos de la Sinfónica de las Américas en Pembroke Pines. Alexandra recibió la Beca de Apoyo al Artista 2022-2023 de la División Cultural de Broward para producir el espectáculo “Nostalgia, My Journey Through Music”, que se llevó a cabo el 10 de septiembre en el Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center junto a reconocidos músicos como Federate Britos. , violinista y Paul Schwartz de Florida Grand Opera y “Tango and Beyond”, 9 de septiembre de 2023, en el Auditorio del Museo de Arte de NSU.
